IPA for Wednesday, April 25, 2007

If you don’t think follow up is important, read this piece from the National Sales Executive Association:
2% of sales are made on the 1st contact.
3% on the 2nd.
5% on the 3rd.
10% on the 4th.
80% of sales are made on the 5th-12th contact!
What does this mean to us? It means we MUST market our services and products in front of the prospective customer repeatedly from our initial introduction to her until she tells us to stop sending information. Send out a monthly newsletter, a weekly email only special, upcoming workshop announcements, etc via email, snail mail and/or phone calls.

What Income Producing Activities did you do today? Any follow up calls?

2 15 minute increments are set for this a.m. First, I will finish calling thru my list of past kid-care & preschool customers (regarding summer events). Second, I will do follow-up calls to contacts I've been playing phone tag with OR have called in the last 2-3 weeks. Sally #129

First thing this morning, I received a call from a lady who did a yellow page search for birthday parties in Jonesboro and found ME!! I talked to her about packages, gave her my website address and am hoping she calls back. I'm now on my way to a day care to drop off participation forms and a poster. I was planning on going by a Children's physical therapy place I had previously talked to, but it's been storming and more coming, so I might put that off until tomorrow when the weather is better.

Today I made advertising packets to bring into work tomorrow. The packets consisted of business cards, flyers and mini catalogs. There's over 700+ employees at my full time job so I'm hoping the news spreads fast. I have a few people already who have been more than willing to recruit business for me.
I can't wait for the leads to start pouring in!

I got a call from a Brownie leader today to do an event for her troop in June. I firmed up details with 2 other scouting leaders for whom I will be doing workshops in May. I e-mailed another scout leader about doing a workshop in June as part of a year-end party/sleepover. I contacted a daycare center about a summer camp. Still following up on some workshop/recruiting leads - playing phone tag, etc. Mentioned my NAAW business to some moms. Thank you! ~Kim Wence, #1359

I booked a workshop today for 45 kids on June 5th. It was with the YMCA and they are paying for everything!
They haven't decided which to do, a bear with shirt or a variety of the $15 animals.

Unfortunately, my business exposure hasn't been focused this weekend. I have a lot to get ready for this weekend and I have been communicating with one of the hostesses. I am really mentally preparing for representing Noah's Ark at 3 functions on Saturday. It will be a long day. I am also thinking about a fundraising idea that I want to do but haven't come up the exact way to do it. More mental preparation going on this week then business promotion. Jacqui Thomas #1447

Very busy day ~ created tips and advice to share with team ~ Spoke to a potential recruit in great length about NA and prepared a package to send out to her with more information ~ Confirmed summer camp programs dates and printed flyers to deliver for tomorrow ~Booked another preschool ~read the forums ~ booked a workshop for a Girl Scout troop ~ and many other little tasks; overall from the start of my day to the end (which is now), I probably worked 8 hours today so I got a lot accomplished!

Well, today I gave out several business cards. Took a stack of postcards to a local (and extremely busy) restuarant...they have a little section for upcoming events and I placed them there!

Followed up on praty requests, sending info and hope to book : )

Be blessed,

I worked on my website and figured out how to add links. This took a lot of time because it was my first time. I also looked up addressed to local camps and made labels.

Didn't do much NA stuff today, spent the day mostly with my girls! Yeah!!

1) Visited the person in charge of a fair I am applying for because I got a "lead" that he might cut booth cost because I am a Military Wife. He did better: I described what NA was and he said, "That sounds like a craft to me" I quickly replied yes and I got the "Craft" booth price but will be placed in the prime commercial spot! WOOHOO!!!!!! It NEVER HURTS to ask!
2) Visited some old school friends from my daughter's pre-school and gave her my card.
3)Dropped of Mini Catalog
4)Spoke with Hostess of my Mommy Tea.
5)Answered email question about Mommy Tea by potential client.

Gosh, where do I start. I am not able to post everyday, due to school activities with my kids. you know the end of the year thing. I have three bella bee parties booked within the next three months. A huggable workshop on May 15th, met with prospects this past saturday. Already have my first Cm under me. Sent out and contacted 10 child care centers that will be expecting my information and example of a workshop and what prices look like per child. Delivered cards to a friend and she will be booking a party for her daughters special needs class at a middle school here in town in May. Put cards out at my preschool today so folks could take them. Made packets two days ago and will be handing them out tomorrow to my preschool class for a special huggable stuffable party (I am ordering the white t-s to have printed with a special message on them so the kids have a shirt to change thier animal into. Gosh, I am just a busy little bee. Also posted on free google site with key words, and not addwords (they cost). and then came home and wrote down my schedule for tomorrow. Hope to fill up my calendar for May. Looks like it might just happen. Would be a good first month. Crew Memeber 2853 Laverne Marble (still an underling)
