It's Thursday already! What did you do today, Thursday, April 19, 2007 to propel your Noah's Ark Workshop business forward?
Belinda Ellsworth is known for her "Power Hour"... she sets aside four 15-minute increments of time to work on various aspects of her business. She sets a timer, opens up her folder for that part of her business and when the timer goes off, she closes the folder and moves onto the next thing. Her four categories were Booking, Recruiting, Customer Service and Downline contact, but you can do it for whatever you want - depending on your personal goals. Give it a try!
Here's to your success-
Annette

Love Belinda saw her at a Convention years ago! It's 8:34am. and I have my committed power hour done...contacted my newest team member that signed up last night and coached her a bit, just got off the phone with a local Community PD where I am in a a Kids Expo on Monday, printing parent participation forms to bring to a daycare and did some add'l coaching via email with a few of my cm's. Great way to start my day;o) Janet Palkon ICM #63
Love the power hour idea - I spent my first 15 mins on Cust Svc [packaging 3 kits (2 are purchases & 1 for raffle donation) and following up on a contact made last Sat at a Fun Fair (woo-hooo!, another sale!)]. Now I'm on my second 15 [Cruisin' Homework!], and the last 2 increments today are both going to be phone work; one will be for follow-up calls regarding summer camps & one will be call-backs to 4 new contacts I made on Tuesday at a networking function... Like Janet, good start to my day too (I'm a morning person!) :)
I dropped off the check to reserve my spot for a HUGE community event centered all around kids. Now to get organized and ready for the event!!
My IPA for today April 19th

2. Spoke with two other possible recruits with questions.

Senior Crew Member soon to be OFFICER!
I took my package of returns to home office to the post office. Mailed 64 NAW postcards to daycares, churches and camps. Emailed information to the lady who bought my party for 4 at the Autism walk. (Just so happens she has 4 grand-daughters, so she's going to let them all invite a friend) I hope to get the date booked soon. Had a set back when the lady from the children's college called to cancel the workshop for 75 they had inquired about, said they can't afford it right now. But, I took the opportunity to offer a fund raiser for the day care they are building. And she offered to let me still send flyers home with the all the kids at the day camp. Shelley #2113
I had to work my other job today but I did book a party from a catalog sent earlier this week and placed an ad in a parent magazine in a city about 2 hours from me--hoping to recruit!

I received my first recruit today. A wonderful friend of mine offerred to help me advertise at her son's daycare. I informed her of the 29$ starter pack. She was somewhat hesitant, but after explaining to her how successful I've been in less than 1 mths. time. She decided to jump on board.
Yipee!

Hi-
I paid for (renewed) an ad today in person and am now going to send some info on our company to the sister of the person I paid. Yea! Per his request. Also, called on several daycares- booked 2 more for this summer. Helped out some of my team members with some problems. Must send out confirmation postcards from yesterdays bookings. And, finally, I must finish packing and preparing for my workshops this weekend.
Okay- back to work.

Day 3
Well I seem to be getting my best work done on my lunch hour. I am gearing up for the Advertising Co Op that I joined for May. Today I spent 45 minutes putting together informational packets that I am going to send out to potential NA crew members.

Conducted a preschool workshop...it was supposed to be small but it grew by 3x! Nothing like last minute order forms...thank goodness I had extra inventory! I printed flyers to send out to daycares and dropped off an extra outfit at a customer's house! Kim Copeland #1927
I mailed out 60 postcards today to girls from my daughters' school.
Also, continued to work on fund-raising ideas/proposal.

you guys are awesome! These are all great!!! WHOO HOO! Feel the success all around!!! :-)
Today was a big challenge because my phone has been out all day. My to do/contact list went right out the window. I was able to do some hostess coaching for an event I have this coming week via e-mail. Just goes to show that where there is a will there's a way :)

I placed an order for a party on the 28th of April. I spoke with Dawn Marie about her Open House tomorrow, several times. She needed pricing, guidance and she set a goal of having one recruit after being a crew member for three weeks. I am also prospecting someone from my hometown, 12 hours away. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I talked with one of my bday parents for this weekend, talked with another potential recruit, talked to a potential birthday mom and emailed her some information. :-)
My Day was very productive. I spoke to a preschool about booking a workshop, reviewed inventory, reviewed website stats and updated site, created a new "to do list", organized calendar to read on PDA (goodbye notebook style calendar) and did lots of brainstorming for recruiting. Very productive day!
1.I spoke to my possible recruit again today and she is in! We meet this Monday to finalize her paperwork. (Thanks to NAAW and the $29 kit)
2. Mailed more post cards out for Mommy Tea.
3. Contacted a second fair and got application. (already doing one)
4. Researched and found a third fair to apply to. (All child oriented fairs.)

Visited two daycares with info about summer workshops. Showed them samples as well. One was lukewarm interest the other was very interested and said that she would definitely book a workshop but was not sure when. Also fixed follow up letters to send to people I had spoken with yesterday. Received an email from my party mom of the 28th with her order.

Okay, I'm pretty much in the same boat (cute) as Laurie. My day has been crazy busy! Anyway, I did plant some seeds while out...giving business cards and chatting with potential customers. One lady had her little girl with her and she was carrying a HUGE white tiger, like the one we have (the Vegas white tiger). I asked if her daughter liked stuffed animals and that I host stuffing workshops and that we had an animals just like the HUGE tiger. Gave her my business card and she seemed very excited about.
I took out catalogues and postcards to label and send out...I'm staring at them now, but will have to work on them tomorrow...it;s bed time : )
Well, this experience is really showing me how important it is to plan some time in your day of your business...even if it's just 15 minutes : ) Having a plan sure does help and that power hour idea is the BEST!!! I hope to start doing that tomorrow.
Be blessed,

For Thursday's homework, I spoke with two people interested in more information for birthday parties and contacted two people who wanted more information about career opportunities (hopefully both will become new crew members!!) I also booked myself at a local festival to advertise.

Today I mailed off a contract to a birthday party mom. I also got material together for two events going on this weekend. This will be my first booth, so I set up at home to make sure I am properly prepared. I made a bunch of copies to bring with me. I put birthday packets and day care packets together and started stuffing envelopes to send out to local businesses for summer activities.
