Saturday IPAs - April 28, 2007

Can you believe it's Saturday already?! What a week huh? I hope you have some time today to enjoy your family. Maybe you have a Noah's Ark party booked today?

Even if you have nothing "Noah" scheduled, make sure you have information in your car or purse with you at all times and then BE BOLD. When you see a mom at the grocery store with a couple of kids, hand her a flyer and say, "Here, this is for you!" Or if there's a long line at the checkout, start up a conversation...you never know where it might lead!

Come back here at the end of the day and post any IPAs for the day. I hope you all are looking back on some of the comments posted for past days. They're inspiring!

Good Morning! I have a party this afternoon (8th b-day, girls). I am bringing Noah word search puzzles for all of 'em [one more thing with my contact info going home with the kids] & the rest of the day is for family and yard work! -- yep, striking up conversations in the check-out or while shopping? I've done it and have gotten business!

That's exactly how I got the girl scout party I'm doing next Saturday. The woman in front of me in line at a convenience store was talking to man in line about girl scout cookies, so when they finished I said "Are you a GS leader?" She said, well I am an assistant and will be the leader in a couple of months". I had just came from the doctor and had NOTHING with me. (lesson learned)I told her that I would like to send her some information on some great workshop ideas for her girls if she wouldn't mind giving me her mailing address. She borrowed a pen, wrote her information down on her receipt. I came home mailed her a whole packet of catalogs and flyers and the rest is history! My lesson learned was keep info with you at ALL times, and talk to EVERYONE! OK, back on subject, IPA. I have made 6 calls, and working up emails for them now. I also am revising my contact list in my outlook express to get these emails organized into groups better. I updated my calender to make sure I don't miss any follow-up calls that I need to make. Sort of a do it all kinda day. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Today I mailed 30 postcards to friends and aquaintances. I've started sticking a magnet on the back of my small 4x6 postcards. I'm hoping they are stuck to lots of people's refrigerators.

Today I spoke with a potential new recruit and with a mom looking to schedule a birthday party for her 2 kids. (That was pretty good considering baseball season started today!)

Today I hosted two stuffing parties!!! They were both a blast : )

And today I booked four workshops!!!!! One is a girl scout troop, one at a daycare center for 70+ kiddies (a referral from another center I conducted a workshop at), one for a preschool (the mom is the owner and the party is for her son...so, I'm hoping she will also book a summer camp for the entire preschool), and the last is a birthday with my fashion fun package (animals and outfits...we're doing a princess theme, so the girls will get to choose a princess dress and the boys can choose a tux or superhero outfit). This mom is a referral from another party mom...yea!

I gave out business cards and spoke with a few parents about the career opportunity and left them the recruiting brochure. Also, left a few newsletters about the six promo theme workshop we'll be having.

I'm beat and have an workshop tomorrow.

God is GOOD!!!

Oh, I forgot to post yesterday, but I did have an event. Not a stuffing party, but a tea party and I told the girls all about my parties...which includes the stuffing parties. I told them to tell their moms to give me a call when they want to book their next special event!

While at the school for the tea party (this was a Manners Tea for a Brownie Girl Scout troop), I left a huge stack of postcards in their news section...where they also have the parenting newspapers and magazines. Then, I spotted their bulletin board (right at the entrance of the school!) and placed a postcard there as well! I like when they have the push pins all ready for you : )

On the way to another event (a cooking show...not NA), I called a potential recruit. She called while I was at my first event and my hubby took the messgae. He said she was very interested and ready to join. So, I called her from my cell and we chatted for a while. We had actually talked before and I had sent her info. She explained that this had always been in her heart since the first time we tallked, but didn't have the money to buy the kit. Then, she said she was thinking that when would she ever really HAVE the money, so why not just step out on faith and follow her heart. So...she is joining soon!!!!!

I made several calls also.

Be blessed,

I haven't been able to do a lot with NA yesterday or today. We had a family emergency yesterday were at the hospital until early this morning. Today I worked on networking to get links for my website and researched advertising in a local phone book. Tomorrow I will be taking the day off with my family. Hopefully I will have a productive day on Monday!

Not too much today but I did submit my site to a bunch of search engines and got listed on the Yahoo local yellow pages.

ON Saturday I went to a local networking event. It was my second time to attend. I caught up with an event planner who had indicated interest last time and she plans on joining the end of May when her business will slow down some and had another member take the info for a birthday party and had a grandma say she was going to call some of her family. So good things happening this month.
