IPAs for Tuesday May 15

Interesting... I just did a quick google of "Income Producing Activities" and came across some guy name Dave who talks about his concept of the printable CEO and how instead of a "To Do" list he does a "I did it" list. He rates himself on a scale from 1-10 on how well that particular activity for that day moved him forward toward his goal of producing income. Interesting approach don't you think?

I wonder what would happen if, let's say, you determined that a GOOD income producing day would mean you'd need to get at least 30 points ... 3 activities that YOU intitiated toward making more money. As you go through your day, write down the things that you did for your business...write down everything. then rate it honestly on a scale from 1-10 as to how that activity could produce instant or future income for your business. The key, of course, is to be brutally honest with yourself because otherwise the exercise does absolutely no good.

Some examples:
**IM'd with my upline for 30 minutes - scale of 1-10 on the income thing... fat ZERO!
**IM'd with a potential recruit for 15 minutes - scale of 1-10 ... depending on how much I pushed, probably a 5 to an 8.
**Called a lady who gave me her phone number in the grocery store last week because she really seemed interested in ordering some product - give me a big fat 10 for that one!
**Filed my receipts for 2005 - uh... another zero! (necessary but not income producing)
**Had lunch with my friend and mention NA so I could write off the lunch even though I know she's not even remotely interested and has told me so - yeah, again probably a zero unless that friend said "SIGN ME UP BABY!! :-)

Get the idea? What do you think? And post your IPAs for the final day of the contest, Tuesday, May 15th, 2007. I'll finish up putting in the tickets and hopefully announce the winners on Wednesday (thursday at the latest).

Post away... what activity did you do today that would score you a TEN?

Just got home from my daycare workshop. I sent flyers home with the kids and told them about birthday parties and how to get more outfits. I also, took out an ad for the new Kids Magazine that's coming out in June locally. I sure hope to get some response from it. I'd like to keep it, but if I don't get alot from it, it's too expensive to keep.
Doctor's appts this afternoon, so I'm keeping my shirt and name tag on while at the pediatricians, just in case someone asks :)

Well, I am marketing (direct mailing). I am getting out some stuff for the Children's Hosp w/ Dawn Marie. I am also contacting old contacts with a newsletter. Hope to get people interested or maybe it will keep Noah's Ark in there minds. Jacqui Thomas # 1447

I had my first library story hour today. It went well, and several parents picked up my info.

I emailed a couple of birthday moms. They had both mentioned their daughter's summer b-days to me previously.

I also called a mom who contacted me a week or so ago about her daughter's b-day. At the time she wasn't sure about doing the "stuff-n-fluff" party, plus I was already booked on the day she wanted. So I called her today to suggest that if she is interested in doing the party herself, I can offer a discount. She liked the idea of getting the discount, and will call tomorrow to confirm.

Also, I booked a preschool workshop yesterday after I had already posted for the day!

I called a lady who I am doing a birthday party for on Friday to confirm details. I emailed a possible recruit. I also researched online advertising with a couple different companies and added advertisements on a couple of websites.

I spoke today with a woman from a huge homeschooling convention about setting up with a booth. She is all for it :)

I worked on a contract for a summer camp for a daycare center and an event flyer for them. I called another daycare center about some details about another summer camp. I forwarded a workshop lead to Corp for their handling. I checked with the home office about the availability of some of the SAF cheerleader outfits before I let a cheerleader coach know about the info (the colors are the team colors). I double-checked my Bella Bee items I ordered recently to make sure the order was filled properly. I left a message for a possible recruiting lead. Thank you! ~Kim Wence, #1359

Worked with a customer to find a location for her daughters birthday party since she doesn't want to do the party at home, but still wants me for the workshop. And discussed marketing ideas with upline. Still taking reservations for summer workshop with preschools...yipee!

Make it a great week!

I give myself a big fat 10 for a recruiting call this evening. (This is the in-person conversation I've been working towards that has come after a referral & connection made from a trip 2 weekends ago.) We'd exchanged a couple emails; tonight we spoke; she plans to sign on tomorrow a.m.. I am confident this will result in a recruit! Other IPA was talking to rep regarding sticker idea, requesting a quote for different quantities. Sent invitations to 12 to join an online community whose purpose is to enable members to expand business connections & sales thru
networking via one another's contacts.

Called a potential recruit that responded to an ad. Printed out some info to mail out to her tomorrow since she doesn't have a computer right now. I also played a mean game of phone tag with a daycare director that wants to book a workshop. Not sure if that would be a 1 or 8. Depends on how you look at it I guess! This has been fun! I hate to see it end. I need an accountability source.
