Question of the week - How many hours do you work your NA business per week (average)?

I'm curious, if you honestly look at your time at "work" how much time per week do you put toward your NA business.... including things like:

Parties/workshops
Promotion/mailings/advertising
Networking
Follow up
Administration, etc.

If you had to pinpoint it on a weekly basis, what would you say?

I spend about 20 hrs a week working on my NA business. Either searching the net for ways to market my business, doing workshops, admin work, inventory, etc.

Some days it feels like it is all in 1 day but those are the profitable days. Like the days I drive from 1 workshop to another and then another. I need a day off after those. My hands are killing me after that.

Well I'd say I average about 20 per week, except the last week or so, I've really let other things get priority. I am really concentrating on getting back to daily IPAs, I stayed on track really well doing that.

Hi-
I treat this as my full-time job and I put in 40 hours a week.

Right now I'm only doing about 20 per week. I'm getting ready to move next week so I don't have too much time with packing and all. But I've already mailed out lots of postcards and have done TONS of research on the area I'm moving to. So when I get there I'm ready to do so much more.

I would say an average of 20 hours a week, some weeks more and some less. My children/family come first and sometimes require more time. It is easy for me to get caught up in time spent that is not IPA. Getting better about that thanks to Annette :)

Like the others, I would say about 20 to 30 hrs per week. Family commitments come first. There are many things I'd like to get done for my business and things get pushed to the back burner, unfortunately. But, I try to prioritize and focus on what is time critical. I do the best I can and I'm happy with that. I'm thankful for the events I have booked and for my team members and hope that it will continue. Thank you all for sharing your ideas and thoughts - very helpful.

Well, as a crew member with a full-time job as well as working on Noah's Ark part-time, I would say that if I get 10 to 15 hours a week on a regular basis I am doing well. I am trying to keep my focus but May has been extremely difficult with sicknesses. I need to get into the habit of doing the IPA more often again. Things are going to start picking up this summer I am really sure of it b/c I am on a direct mailing campaign. Jacqui Thomas # 1447

For me it has been a bit different, as I came in from SAF as a team and zone leader and have averaged anywhere from 8 to 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last year and a half to two years, mostly in just helping other reps with everything they needed and also marketing for team building and helping them. It hasn't left me a lot of time for doing my own personal workshops or IPA's, and with the health problems I have and being considered medically disabled, it has been something I have been proud of just because I was able to do it at all.

Since the acquisition of SAF by NA it has probably been just as many hours so far, but I have a goal of once I get everyone taken care of for the most part, that I will lower my hours by at least half, not working on Sundays at all, and at the same time be increasing my IPA's and workshops, career expo's, etc.

I am very excited about being a part of the NA family and feel like SAF has finally matured in a way and that our reps are going to be taken care of without so much on my own shoulders because it has felt that way for so long. At the same time it is so hard to feel like I am not involved with the going ons of the company like I was used to with SAF, but I know that our input and ideas are still appreciated and that is awesome....okay I am sorry as I know this isnt what this was about and I have rambled on anyways..lol

So honestly...80 to 100 hours a week has been very average I would say because I dont normally sleep well and am still able to take care of my family and do what needs to be done for them and then go right back to the phone and computer.

I've been doing NA for one year now. And I'd say on average this first year I've put in 30 hours per week. Partly, just educating myself. Spending lots of time writing letters and emails, reading posts, etc...
However, with summer upon us and my kids at home I'm going to be cutting my hours quite a bit. I'll do my planned workshops, but don't plan to spend nearly as much time at the computer this summer.

I would probably say I spend about 30-40 hours a week on the business but can do so off and on to fit in my day while my kids are doing their studies or early in the morning and at night. Those hours I spend usually researching and educating myself, while the daytime hours are spent on crew member contact, recruiting and working my personal business.

Some days I spend more time doing NA stuff than others, and some weeks more than others. But on average, I would say that I spend 30-40 hours a week working on my NA business. I work on and off throughout the day, depending on what my schedule is for that day, so I don't get 8 full hours in a row, but I do put the time in. I have only been doing NA for about 3 1/2 months, but I am working hard to get it going.
